Jang Group spokesman says Imran wants the Group to side with him; if someone’s desire is not fulfilled, he starts leveling allegations and tries to make the Group controversial

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Wednesday claimed that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family had failed to come clean on the corruption charges and their body language reflected their ‘doom in the PanamaLeaks Case’.

To this effect, a top-level PTI leaders meeting was held here under the chair of Imran Khan at Banigala. The overall political situation was reviewed and analysed and the government’s alliance with a media house allegedly attempting to malign and vituperate the SC was deliberated.

The meeting also shed light on the JIT’s probe into the Sharif family’s offshore assets and the impediments allegedly being placed by the ruling party in the accountability process.

The meeting said that after the remarks of the Supreme Court judges, there was no doubt that the superior judiciary and the JIT were being intimidated and blackmailed at the behest of the prime minister. “In pursuing these obnoxious objectives, the ruling party has the backing of a specific media group and its so-called intellectuals. Spitting venom against JIT and judiciary is a part of a vicious plan,” the PTI leadership retorted.

Moreover, the PTI also assessed the vile attempts of the ruling party and the Sharif family to create chaos in the country. The PTI vowed to stand against those who were trying to sabotage the system and fan anarchic trends in the country for personal gains.

The National Assembly Speaker’s ‘political’ speech was criticised and the PTI leaders lashed out at Ayaz Sadiq for dishonoring the House and the Speaker’s position by serving the Sharifs and stated that the government representatives had turned a deaf ear to the cries of masses and acted like ‘slaves’ of the Sharif family.

Meanwhile, the PTI strongly condemned the brutal violence by the security guards of Faisalabad’s Agriculture University on the Team Samaa and demanded from the government to take strict action against senior administrative officials, including the vice-chancellor.

The PTI also expressed grave concern over the phenomenal increase in the trade deficit and urged the federal government to change the impaired economic policies.Senior leader and MNA Asad Umer lashed out at the government stating that textile exports have fallen, factories shut down and millions of workers have been pushed to abyss of unemployment.

In a statement issued by the PTI Central Media Department, Asad Umer, in a message on a social networking website, stated that the government needs to reduce the cost of doing business particularly reducing taxes on energy inputs and backlog of refunds.

He further pressed on the government to give incentives to the country’s own export industry, including textile, instead of pleasing international lenders and taking expensive loans. He added that the government was passionate of getting more loans. He stated that it is unfortunate that textile owners and workers have been brought to a point where they have to march against the government policies.

Meanwhile, a spokesman for the Jang Group has vehemently denied the allegations of Imran Khan. The spokesman said Imran wants the Jang Group to side with him, instead of upholding its tradition of presenting the stance of all stakeholders. He said if someone’s desire is not fulfilled, he starts leveling allegations and tries to make the Group controversial.

He said the Panama Leaks news was broken by the Jang Group. The group enjoys the honour that its journalists published this news with all details and names. Besides, many other news items regarding the Panama case were regularly presented.

The spokesman said Imran wants the Jang Group and its policies to favour him. He said Jang gives all types of stances for the people so that their information may increase and they may decide appropriately. Imran has levelled such allegations earlier also and the Jang Group has challenged them in courts in Pakistan and Britain and has won cases.

In fact, Imran is making efforts to make the Jang Group disputed so that people may believe that the Group is in favour of one party and against the other. The spokesman refuted the allegations of Imran and vowed to challenge them in court of law.
