‘Decision in PanamaLeaks case will change country’s destiny’

KARACHI: PTI Chairman Imran Khan has said the Mian brothers have appeared before the JIT in a manner as if they have conquered a country.

The turn of remaining persons will come after Nawaz Sharif too. On the one side, there is corrupt mafia and on the other side there are people of Pakistan who are being plundered, he said while talking to the media here on Monday.

He said the country's institutions were destroyed for corruption, adding the decision in the PanamaLeaks case will change the destiny of the country.

He went on to say the Panama case was a decisive case of the country. The main reason behind raising hue and cry is that if the case result comes against Nawaz Sharif, then the turn of others will also come. The problem with Pakistan is the prevalent corrupt system, he said, adding corruption will not stop even if angels work under Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari. There are no angels in the West but whosoever commits corruption is apprehended. There is a system in place therein. When honest head of state comes, then the system under him will stand reformed automatically, he remarked.

The job of the head is strengthening the institutions, he said adding when the institutions are stronger then they will hold others accountable.

There are no angels in the European countries but the institutions are stronger therein, he remarked. That is why their prime minister is held accountable, no matter whatever he does, he added. There are remarks of Supreme Court that Nawaz Sharif is annihilating the institutions to hide his corruption, he underlined.  An enormous talent of sports is available in the country, he said adding but appointing the head of cricket board by the prime minister gives birth to politics in cricket. Merit is being massacred due to this reason, he added. Such things never happen in other countries, he underlined. In other countries, chairman board comes through election, he pointed out. "I congratulate the cricket team for defeating the Indian team with a big margin. The Pakistani team can become a better team than a superpower."

He observed there is terrible talent of corruption in the country. This talent steals money from Pakistan and sends it to Dubai, he added. If you go to Sindh, you will find roads are constructed on papers only. There is no considerable difference between Larkana and Mohenjo Daro, he observed.
