LAHORE: Punjab Human Rights and Minorities Affairs Minister Khalil Tahir Sandhu called on Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Punjab Assembly Chamber.
In the meeting, 5 percent quota in financial institutions, law for protection of properties of minorities, an increase in minorities’ seats in Punjab Assembly and Chief Minister Package of 2016-17 and budget 2017-18 were discussed.
The provincial minister requested the chief minister to consider these demands. He said Human Rights Department under his ministry is performing a vital role in protection of minorities and working for the protection of women in the province.
