Fire destroys thread factory

A fire broke out in a cotton ginning and thread manufacturing factory in the North Karachi Industrial Area on Tuesday, causing losses of millions of rupees.
Fire officials said the blaze at Bismillah Enterprises was caused by a short circuit at about 11:15am. It took three hours for five fire tenders to put out the fire.
The factory’s electricity and gas connections were also suspended.
A preliminary investigation has been launched and the statement of the factory’s gatekeeper has also been recorded.
