The Kabul attack

Kabul witnessed a deadly attack on Wednesday (May 31). Hundreds of people were wounded and at least 80 were killed in a suicide attack near the German Embassy. It seems that initiatives taken to bring peace to Afghanistan have failed miserably.

Different terrorist organisations are operating in the country. These organisations do not like ‘foreign intrusion’ in the country and carry out more attacks to avert the outsiders. In order to avoid aggravating the situation, Afghanistan should be given a chance to sort out the mess on its own. The situation will continue for another 100 years unless countries stop meddling in Afghanistan’s internal affairs.

The recent blast in Kabul reveals the hatred of terrorist organisations towards Nato troops. It can be assumed that terrorists have ?made it clear that nothing can stop them and that they have the ability to attack a place where the authorities have ensured fool proof security. The attack was condemned by leaders around the world. The statement of Pakistan’s COAS also bore witness that Pakistan intends to bring peace to Afghanistan. However, the neighbouring country is straining the Pakistan-Afghanistan relationship by blaming Pakistan for the attack.

The Afghan government should realise that blaming Pakistan for all kind of terrorist activities will bring no good and continue the war on terror for the next few decades.
