SIU recovers ransom amount of Rs10 million

Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of Islamabad Police has recovered the ransom amount of Rs10 million after the safe recovery of an abducted person, a police spokesman said.
He said that some unidentified kidnappers abducted Said Akbar Khan at gun point on February 3, 2017 from Tarnol police limits and succeeded to get ransom amount worth Rs10 million from his father.
SIU police succeeded to arrest kidnappers identified as Ibrar Uddin, Ishaq, Aurangzeb, Tariq and Momin Khan. Following investigation from them, police team led by DSP CIA Bashir Ahmed Noon recovered the ransom amount from them which has been handed over to the father of adducted person.
SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani has appreciated this overall performance and announced special prizes and commendation certificates for members of SIU police team. He assured to forward their case to IGP with recommendations for more awards to SIU police team.
