Police fail to arrest robbers
LAHORETHE Defence-A Police failed to find any clue to five robbers who stormed into a house in Phase-1 and looted the cash, gold and mobile phones worth lakhs of rupees on Saturday last. Five robbers entered into the house of Ehsan Naaz, Chairman Press Club Education Committee, on Saturday night.

THE Defence-A Police failed to find any clue to five robbers who stormed into a house in Phase-1 and looted the cash, gold and mobile phones worth lakhs of rupees on Saturday last.
Five robbers entered into the house of Ehsan Naaz, Chairman Press Club Education Committee, on Saturday night. Mr. Ehsan’s wife, daughter-in-law and a 10-year-old maid were at home and they were going to a party function. Robbers entered the home and threatened the family with gun and asked them for all the valuables and money they had. When they resisted, they tortured them. Within 30 minutes they deprived the family of 28 tolas gold, three gold watches, two mobile phones (worth about Rs 80,000) and Rs 460,000 in cash. According to Mr. Ehsan, when they knocked at the door, a robber opened a window and looked outside. When they saw a car outside the house, they jumped down from the backside and fled the scene. Meanwhile, the family informed the police who reached the spot and collected evidences and arrested a suspect. Later, he was released on the request of the complainant. An FIR No. 105/15 was registered by the police on the complaint of Ehsan Naaz against unidentified robbers. Investigation Officer Muhammad Siddique said they were searching for the robbers.
