‘AQIS man’ held in DHA

A suspect said to be affiliated with the banned Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) was arrested in DHA by the Sindh Rangers on Tuesday. A spokesman said a team conducted an intelligence-based raid in the Darakhshan area and, after resistance, apprehended one terror suspect identified as Mohammad Hussain alias Munna. It was said the suspect belongs to the banned AQIS and initial investigations revealed that he was involved in cases including facilitating terrorists and armed robberies. One more suspect, Mohammed Rasheed of the MQM-Pakistan, was also arrested from the Darakhshan area. The Rangers also conducted targeted raids in Manghopir and arrested two accused, Kashif Ali alias Kala and Jehangir, who belong to the MQM– London.
