The World Wide Fund for Nature-Pakistan (WWF-Pakistan) and the Planning and Development Department, government of Balochistan, have entered into a memorandum of understanding to explore future avenues of a long-term partnership in environmental conservation and sustainable development of the province. This will address the environmental and development challenges in Balochistan, including the adverse impacts of climate change, natural resource degradation, etc.
The department will utilise all its resources to improve socio-economic conditions and creating alternative income generation opportunities for people. It is hoped that the collaboration will explore other funding opportunities to uplift the standard of living of people and strive to promote climate resilience and sustainable development in the province.

The ongoing development projects display the dedication of the government to improve the country’s dilapidated infrastructure.
In the same way, the government should work to improve the country’s healthcare and education sectors. Both these sectors are in decline and need the immediate attention of the government.
