The experts of energy sector has stressed on adopting proper energy conservation methods and techniques besides developing new avenues of coal, wind and hydro power generation initiatives.
This was revealed by Programm Manager Punjab Energy Efficiency& Conservation Agency (PEECA) and Shah Jahan Mirza Managing Director Private Power & Infrastructure Board (PPIB) during one day workshop on energy Efficiency for Sustainable Future held in Rawalpindi on Saturday.
Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (RCCI) President Raja Amer Iqbal was the guest of honour who stressed the need for promotion of energy efficient technologies to tackle the energy challenge. He said that it is need of hour that we should find appropriate solution of energy crisis, especially for commercial sector. He asked experts to share their ideas with industrialists and investors so that they could modify their industrial units and get energy audit of their industries. Chairman Renewable & Alternative Energy Association of Pakistan Asif Jah said that we have abundance resources of alternative energy which can be utilised to over-come the shortage of required energy.
He also elaborated the functions and advisory services of Renewable& Alternative Energy Association which had been being extended to domestic and commercial sector to mitigate the power failure difficulties.
The representatives of other power sector organisations Mohi ud Din of HVACR, Society, Engineer Asad Mahmood of NEECA talked about Introduction to energy efficiency and energy management system. Nisar A Latif CEO Solar sigma deliberated on Energy Efficiency in the framework of Distributed Electricity Generation, similarly, Muhammad Farooq discussed Energy saving opportunities in industries. Rai Muhammad Farooq presented his paper on success Story of Energy Efficiency.
A question answer session was held on the occasion in which the participants discussed various matters relating to energy efficient measures. Abdur Rahman presented shields to the partisans.
