KARACHI: The 9th PowerGen Conference 2017 will be held on May 19 with a theme “Journey towards Innovative and Sustainable Power Generation?” in Islamabad, a statement said on Saturday.
Naeem Qureshi, chairman of the organising committee of PowerGen Conference, said that the conference will provide knowledge and awareness, networking and research & development opportunities exclusively designed for power generation through coal, nuclear hydro, renewable, alternative, thermal and allied industries.
He said Energy Update in collaboration with the ministry of water and power, Private Power and Infrastructure Board, Alternate Energy Development Board and Middle East Solar Industry is organising the event, which will offer an interactive discussion, enabling local and international energy experts, high officials of the ministry of water and power, IPP’s, DISCOS’s, engineering companies, regulators, power producers, academia to talk on latest advancements being adopted and utilised worldwide, especially in the Asia-Pacific Region, it added.
