NUST wins drama festival

National University of Science and Technology (NUST) won 2-Day Drama festival organised by the faculty of English under NUML Dramatics Club held at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) in which 10 universities across Pakistan participated and mesmerised the audience with their performances, says a press release.
Closing ceremony in this regard was organised at NUML auditorium on Thursday. Director General Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA) Jamal Shah was the chief guest of the ceremony while Director General NUML Brig Riaz Ahmed Gondal, Dean Languages Dr. Safeer Awan, registrar, directors, heads of departments, teachers and large number of students were attended the event.
The chief guest in his address said that arts and culture are the best means of communication and it help a lot to keep a society united. He said that art and culture of any society is like an identity of that society and we have to play our role to promote our culture. Jamal Shah said our youth is our strength; it is need of the tie to empower our youth as they can play their role to counter any kind of propaganda against our culture. He appreciated all the performances and distributed prizes among the winners. In this competition NUML Islamabad stood 2nd and “Fankaar Group” Fatima Jinnah Women University got 3rd position.
