The Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan (AKFP) and IHH Turkey on Monday organised an event with orphan children in connection with the International Orphans Day here.
Over 600 orphan children being taken care of by the AKFP participated in the colour event while presenting national songs and tableaus. The AKFP president Muhammad Abdus Shakoor, head of Turkish delegation Abdul Baqi Murad and other officials of the two organisations attended the event.
Speaking on the occasion, the AKFP president said the foundation under its Orphans Care activities is looking after education and health of over 7,000 orphan children. He said the orphans needed special attention of the society so that they could play their role in progress of the country.
Abdul Baqi Murad appreciated working of the foundation and said that Turkey as a Muslim brother country would continue to support Pakistan social sector, education, health and various other fields.
