LAHORE
The city witnessed a sunny day on Monday while the Met office predicted dust-thunderstorm and rain at scattered places in the city on Tuesday (today).
The met officials said a shallow westerly wave is prevailing over Pakistan and likely to persist in upper parts of the county till Monday night. The Met office predicted dust-thunderstorm/rain (associated with gusty winds / few hailstorms) at scattered places in KP, Islamabad, Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Lahore divisions), Fata, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. They added hot and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.
Rainfall was recorded at several cities including Murree (37 mm), Chakwal (20 mm), Rawalpindi (Chaklala 21, Shamsabad 16), Islamabad (Zero Point, Bokra 17, Golra 16, Saidpur 12), Okara (11 mm), Sahiwal (07 mm), Sargodha (AP 11, City 06), Lahore (04 mm), Sialkot, Jhang and Joharabad (01 mm), Muzaffarabad (27 mm), Garidupatta (22mm), Rawalakot (17 mm), Kakul (21 mm), Balakot (17 mm), Malamjabba (14 mm), Kalam (10 mm), Bannu (07 mm), Dir (06 mm), Cherat and Risalpur (05 mm), Lower Dir, Pattan and Saidu Sharif.
