Mayor suspends ASH MS, his deputy

During a surprise visit to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital on Saturday, Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar suspended the facility's medical superintendent, Dr Nadeem Rajput, and his deputy, Dr Muhammad Ali Mirza, for poor sanitation and mismanagement of hospital affairs.
Moreover, the mayor also issued instructions for issuance of show cause notices to four staff members of the ASH's laboratory.
He also directed concerned authorities to repair the air-conditioning system of the urology ward and also visited Karachi Medical and Dental College (KMDC) and Kidney Centre in North Nazimabad to check the attendance of the staff there.
