LAHORE A 38-year-old woman died through alleged doctors’ negligence in Mustafaabad police limits on Tuesday. According to SHO Khalid Mehmood, Humaira of Qurban Line was admitted to a private hospital of Dharampura for tumours’ operation. He said the victim’s family alleged that she died after being given a wrong medicine. Investigation Officer SI Khuram said the police forwarded an application to the Health secretary for post-mortem. No FIR was registered till filing of this report. Man dies: A 36-year-old man succumbed to his bullet injuries in hospital on Tuesday. Police removed the body to morgue for autopsy and registered a case against accused Shahzad. Deceased was identified as Zahid of Ravi Road. On January 18, accused Shahzad came to his hotel and after an exchange of harsh words with Zahid shot at and injured him. The victim was admitted to Mayo Hospital. suspended: Deputy Inspector General of Police Operations Dr. Haider Ashraf has taken notice of the illegal arrest of an innocent citizen and suspended SHO Sundar Ijaz Ahmad along with two other Sub-inspectors. SHO Sundar Ijaz Ahmad along with two other Sub-inspectors arrested an innocent citizen and registered a fake FIR against him. DIG Operations Dr Haider Ashraf directed SP Sadar Ijaz Shafi Dogar to present a complete inquiry report. SHO Sundar Ijaz Ahmad and other two Sub-inspectors were proved guilty in the report which declared that SHO Sundar had arrested an innocent citizen and registered the fake FIR. DIG Operations Dr Haider Ashraf has suspended SHO Sundar and other two Sub-inspectors. He advised all the police officers to deal public with proper attitude. ACCIDENTS: At least 511 accidents were reported in Rescue 1122 Provincial Monitoring Cell in all 36 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours in which five lives were lost and 410 seriously injured were shifted to different hospitals of relevant district. Some 194 minor injured were provided first aid by Rescue 1122 on the spot. IGP: To combat terrorism in the province, Punjab Police are working round the clock according to the national action plan designed by the government and the first CTD batch trained for the purpose will be passed out by the end of this month. This was stated by Inspector General of Police Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera at CPO Tuesday while addressing the visiting delegation of Probationer ASPs belonging to 41st Specialised Training Programme at National Police Academy, Islamabad. The delegation included 18 ASPs including four women ASPs, one DIG, one SP, two DSPs and six staff members. The IGP said the country was passing through a crucial time which required the police officers to be more honest, vigilant and professional. He said various steps had been taken to improve the investigation system, elimination of corruption and enhancing the capacity building of the Punjab police force. He also answered the questions of various officers on this occasion. Briefing the delegation regarding the working of the Police Department, AIG Finance Hussain Habib Imtiaz said the total force of Punjab police is 179,921 working under the command of one IGP, nine RPOs, four CPOs, 31 DPOs, 162 SDPOs and 708 SHOs. Captain of the delegation Capt (R) DIG Abdul Saeed Naveed thanked the IGP for his cooperation.
