LAHORE: A woman running a beauty parlour was killed by her in-laws reportedly for honour in the Factory Area police limits on Monday.
Victim Farzana Bibi ran the beauty parlour in the main bazaar Chungi Amar Sadhu. On the day of incident, her father-in-law and brother-in-law, Mian Khan and Jibran, went to her parlour and attacked her with sharp-edged weapons after an exchange of harsh words. She received injuries and was shifted to a nearby hospital where she was taken as brought dead.
According to initial investigations, the victim was killed for honour. Her in-laws doubted her character and they killed her. An investigator said that the husband of the victim, himself, had set up the beauty parlor for her, so claiming she was killed for honour was pre-mature. Cantonment SP Rana Tahir said police had arrested the accused and were investigating. He said ‘initial investigations’ suggested that the victim was killed for honour.
