Unsung hero

With the passing of Maureen Lines, Pakistan and particularly, the Kalash community, have lost a noble soul and a maternal figure. Lines had dedicated her life to improving the conditions of the people of the Kalash Valley. She gave up her comfortable, protected and prosperous life abroad in order to serve the people of Pakistan. She was a role model for many and the entire country should be proud of her. Lines’ services to the country should be recognised posthumously at the next national awards ceremony.
