Shinkiari elders to challenge creation of Baffa-Pakhal tehsil

MANSEHRA: The people of Shinkiari have decided to challenge the creation of Baffa-Pakhal tehsil. The decision to this regard was taken at a meeting of elders at Shinkiari on Thursday. The provincial cabinet had approved creation of a district, Kolai-Palas and 11 tehsils including Baffa-Pakhal in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in its meeting held in Peshawar on Wednesday.

Among others the chairman of moment of Shinkiari Tehsil Shabeer Khan and other office-bearers including Tajuddeen Khan, Saeed Sabir, and district councillor of PTI Mohammad Adnan spoke on the occasion.

Almost all speakers were unanimous in their speech that they were not against creation of Baffa-Pakhal Tehsil but made it clear that they would never be part of it. Also in the day people of Shinkiari distributed sweets and greeted each other.

At a meeting held in connection with celebrating status of a tehsil for Baffa-Pakhal, the speakers said that it was a  great day in history as an historic town of Baffa was given the status of a tehsil. They also thanked PTI led government for giving a status of tehsil to Baffa despite all odds.
