Islamabad: Here is an alert for students and parents: the government watchdog for higher education will not recognise enrolment in two-year B-Tech programmes after the Fall 2014 session.
“Any enrolment in two years B-Tech programmes, both B-Tech (Pass) and B-Tech (Hons), after the Fall 2014 session will not be recognised and subsequently degrees awarded for those enrolments will not be attested by the Higher Education Commission,” said HEC Director General (Quality Assurance Agency) Rafiq Baloch on Sunday.
According to Rafiq Baloch, the HEC has already formally informed all degree awarding institutions that it will not recognise degrees of two-year B-Tech Programmes of those candidates, who are enrolled for these degree programmes for the Spring-2015 session and onwards.
He said the commission had asked degree awarding institutions not to offer the two-year B-Tech Programmes in the Spring 2015 session.
