Outgoing KP IGP praises media’s role
PESHAWAR: Inspector General of Police Nasir Khan Durrani has lauded the media role in promoting positive image of the province.
Talking to a delegation of the Crimes and Terrorism Journalists Forum (CTJF) led by president of the body Tariq Waheed and general secretary Hassan Farhan, the IGP lauded the positive coverage of the events taking place all over the province.
Durrani added that he found the media of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially Peshawar, more mature. "I have served the province for over three years and I found that not only the police force but also the people of the province are very brave and mature.
They have faced the situation for the last many years with bravery and patience," said Nasir Durrani, who is attaining the age of superannuation on March 16. Media persons on the occasion presented a shield to the outgoing police chief. They lauded the IGP for the reforms he introduced during the last three and a half years. The IGP also presented a shield to the journalist community of the province.
