Sikhs protest blasphemous sketches

NANKANA SAHIB: The Sikh community on Saturday staged a demonstration against the blasphemous caricatures published by the French magazine.
The protesters carrying placards gathered outside Gurdwara Janamasthan and chanted slogans against the French magazine. Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee secretary general Sardar Gopal Singh Chawala, Head Granthi Sardar Janam Singh and Sardar Dilawar Singh said that silence of the United Nations over the issue was a criminal act. They demanded exemplary punishment for the publishers of the sacrilegious sketches.

NANKANA SAHIB: Mother of Wakil Ahmad Sandrana, a local journalist, passed away in Warburton on Saturday.
A large number of people from different walks of life attended her funeral. She was buried in a local graveyard.
