WAPDA upstage Army to win KP CM volleyball title

KARACHI: WAPDA were crowned champions when they upstaged strong Army in the final of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister National Under-23 Volleyball Championship at the PSB Coaching Centre, Qayyum Sports Complex, Peshawar on Friday.
Chairman Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) Chaudhry Mohammad Yaqoob graced the closing ceremony. Also present was member Provincial Assembly Arif Yousafzai.
It was a superb display from WAPDA who kept soldiers under pressure right from the start. The set scores were 25-23, 25-21, 25-19.
In the third position game, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa defeated Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) 3-0 with the set scores of 25-21, 25-23 and 25-19.
