The education system of the country is following an ineffective method of learning. Students are made to run after good grades. Schools boast about how their students are position holders in the board. This has encouraged rote learning among students. They are not able to understand the basic concepts. This is why they cannot apply the knowledge in practical world. 0This has lead not only to the death of creativity and imagination, but to the decline of ‘thinkers’ as well. It can be said that schools are only creating ‘robots’ who will do and react as told.
Education helps an individual to think and to differentiate between right and wrong. The education system is deteriorating at a rapid rate. Innovation and novelty are nowhere to be seen in the country. We have turned into mindless slaves – only obeying the orders. If we want to progress, we need to produce independent thinkers – people who can protest and raise their voices against the irregularities. It is time we introduced much-needed reforms in the country’s education system.
