The three-day Lahore Literary Festival was reduced to a single day event only because of
security concerns. Around nine books were launched in the festival. Renowned writers held different sessions at the festival. The event is held annually and it is a great source of enjoyment for book lovers and avid readers. Events like these bring a breath of fresh air. In a country like
ours where terrorism has left no stone unturned to spread violence and fear, such events act as a ray of hope.
Literary events also encourage people to read more. The habit of reading among people is shrinking down. One believes that the country should host more such events to not only promote literature but to spread peace in the country. The entire nation would appreciate some positivity.
