MANSEHRA: Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Mohammad Yousuf has said that current wave of terrorism is an attempt by a neighbouring country to sabotage the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

“On completion of the CPEC, our country would be in a dominant position in the region, that is why our enemies have started efforts to sabotage the project through terrorism but our forces would foil the designs,” Sardar Yousuf told reporters here on Saturday.

He said that PML-N government was firm on its stance to eradicating terrorism and time was not far away when Pakistan would become terrorism-free country. He said that people and law-enforcement agencies were committed to fighting terrorism.  The minister said that the cabinet had approved a draft law, which would be presented in the National Assembly for approval to bring Umrah operation under the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

“After the National Assembly’s approval, it would become a law and Umrah operation and tour operators would be brought under religious affairs,” he added.
