China supports Operation Raddul Fasaad
BEIJING: China on Friday supported the Operation Raddul Fasaad launched to eliminate terrorism across Pakistan besides ensuring security along borders.
"China understands and supports necessary measures taken by Pakistan to consolidate its position in counterterrorism operations and maintain domestic security for the safety of its people," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang remarked during a regular press briefing here. He said that in recent years, Pakistan had rigorously made efforts to fight terrorism and recorded major progress.
When his attention was drawn towards fresh wave of terror attacks in Pakistan, he said, "We have noted the recent wave of terrorism across the country.” He extended sympathies for the loss of innocent lives in the terror attacks.
When asked about broad-based counterterrorism, deweaponization and explosive control measures being taken under the new operation, he said, "We believe with joint efforts of government, army and people, Pakistan will surely secure victory in its fight against terrorism."
