CDA ambulance service extended to rural areas also

Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Sheikh Anser Aziz has said that Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is taking keen interest in expanding the canvas of CDA Cares 1122 and acting upon his directions CDA Cares Ambulance Service has been extended to rural and remote areas as well.
He said that with the establishment of MCI, gap between urban and rural areas of the city, in terms of provision of basic civic facilities, is being bridged. He said that CDA Cares 1122 will be upgraded on modern lines and more vehicles and Human Resource would be added to ensure better facilities in the city.
Mayor of Islamabad expressed these views during a meeting held at CDA Headquarters here on Tuesday. The meeting was also attended by senior officers of Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) and CDA. The meeting reviewed the progress of CDA Cares 1122.
Chairman CDA was informed that CDA cares 1122 attended 96 calls of different emergency nature during the lat week. All calls were responded promptly and after providing first aid the victims of different incidents were shifted to nearest most medical facility, he was further informed.
The meeting was informed that CDA Cares 1122 is serving all over the city with full commitment. The meeting was told that CDA Cares 1122 is responding different incidents within no time.
Sheikh Anser Aziz was informed that most of the calls received during the last week of the Road Traffic Accidents which were 42 in number. These calls were received from the areas of Blue Area, Zero Point, Shakarparian, G-11 Kashmir Highway, Lake View Park, I-8/2, Police College Sihala, Zia Masjid, G-11/2, Bhara Kahu, Dhokri Chowk, Peshawar Morr, Near Polyclinic, NUST University Road, Burma Bridge, Faisal Chowk, Faizabad Bridge, Sabzi Mandi, F-10 / F11 Road, Near Saudi Pak Tower, Malpur U Turn on Main Murree Raod, G-5, Faqir Aipee Road, G-10 main Road and Sector I-8/2.
All the victims of road accidents were shifted to PIMS, Polyclinic, Naval Hospital, Shifa International, RHQ Rawalpindi and PAF Hospital. The Mayor was further informed that out of these 42 calls victims of nine (09) faced minor injury and staff of CDA Cares 1122 provided treatment on the spot.
