Netanyahu: Left 'pleased as punch' with UN's anti-Israel resolution
Netanyahu blasts Left for "focusing their attack on Israel's government" "In defiance of the Security Council -- we have been here and we will remain here," PM says, in post to world leaders who supported UN resolution.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu assailed Israel's left-wing political parties and commentators, who he said were "pleased as punch" after the UN Security Council passed a resolution calling for an end to the Judea and Samaria settlement enterprise on Friday.
"Politicians from the Left and commentators on television networks were pleased as punch by the anti-Israel resolution at the UN, almost as much as they were in the Palestinian Authority and Hamas," Netanyahu wrote on his Facebook page Sunday. "Several of them focused their attack on ... Israel's government! One can understand why the intelligent Israeli public refuses to give them their vote at the ballot box."
