People urged to get united against country’s enemy
LANDIKOTAL: Former federal minister Noorul Haq Qadri on Sunday urged his supporters to discourage social evils and unite against those who want to see a militarily and economically weak Pakistan.
Qadri said this while speaking to a gathering titled “Mehfel-e-Darood-o-Salam” at Shalman Babajee shrine in Landikotal.Around 10,000 Tanzeem-e-Ahle Sunnat Waljamaat followers and supporters from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Fata attended the gathering.
Qadri said that thousands of citizens, religious scholars and security forces personnel have so far embraced martyrdom for the sake of prosperous Pakistan. He said the sufferings tolerated by the Pakistani nation would be remembered.
Regarding the assassination of his four family members a few years ago, Qadri said that his organisation known as Tanzeem-e-Ahle Sunnat Waljamaat stood against militancy and extremism. He said that his four family members also lost their lives to terrorism. He said peace had been restored in Khyber Agency at the cost of sacrifices of people and security forces.
