An accountability court issued non-bailable arrest warrant against former information deputy secretary Anita Baloch on Saturday for the second time in a corruption reference against former provincial minister Sharjeel Memon and others. Baloch is a co-accused in the case.
The court accepted the application moved by Memon’s attorney that sought his exemption. However, the court declared that the accused must be present at the next hearing.
Memon faces charges of involvement in corruption worth Rs5 billion and 13 other accused are under detention. Six other accused have already obtained pre-arrest bail.
