Metros desired but ‘roti, kapra and makaan’ are priority: Bilawal
LAHORE: PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Friday said his party definitely wanted metros but the first priority should always be provision of ‘roti, kapra and makaan’.
Addressing the south Punjab workers on the party’s Foundation Day at the Bilawal House here, he said the National Action Plan (NAP) had turned into the N-League Plan. He chanted the slogan of ‘Go Nisar Go’ with the party workers and said the slogan was now emerging from Takht-e-Lahore.
Bilawal slammed the ruling party for not paying heed to the PPP’s demands. “If the PML-N doesn’t accept our demands, my slogan will change from ‘Go Nisar Go’ to ‘Go Nawaz Go’,” he said. In an obvious reference to the Sharif brothers, he said those living in Raiwind and
Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan were not willing to fight for the masses. “People aredemanding health and education rather than metros,” he added. The PPP chairman said Nisar also had an issue if the PPP mourned the death of its martyrs.
