PESHAWAR: The Centre for Disaster Preparedness and Management, University of Peshawar, will hold a two-day Disaster Management Exhibition from December 7-8.
A press release said the exhibition is to provide a common platform to all stakeholders working in the field of disaster risk reduction. The government organisations, academic institutions, United Nations, INGOs, NGOs, and companies working in the field of disaster management will attend the event.
The organisations will participate as exhibitors and display products, equipment, books, periodicals, research output, pamphlets, models, case studies and software etc. They will share development stories, progress reports, with the visitors and would help create awareness among the public at large about disaster risk reduction.
The basic aim and objective of the two-day exhibition is to sensitise the masses and students of the university campus on disaster preparedness and management and to provide an opportunity for sharing of scientific studies and research on disaster management and climate change. More than 50 government and non-governmental organisations will set up stalls.
