KARACHI: Aleem Bilal scored a hat-trick to help WAPDA beat Police 6-2 and maintain their perfect run in the National Hockey championship on Monday at Sialkot Hockey Stadium in Sialkot.
Umar Bhutta, Mohammad Usman and Salman Hussain were the other scorers for WAPDA.
Ubaid Bhatti and Mohammad Atif scored one goal each for Police. WAPDA lead Pool B, having won all four matches.
In another match, Navy defeated PTV 5-1. Akbar Ali scored a hat-trick, while Mohammad Sabir scored twice for Navy. Adnan Bashir scored a consolatory goal for PTV.
Navy are in second place in the five-team Pool B, having won two matches, lost one and drawn one.
NBP lead Pool A, having won all four matches. They are followed by HEC, who won two, lost one and drew one.
PIA lead Pool C after winning three matches. They will play their last pool match against Railways. Punjab have won three out of their four matches to secure second place in the five-team Pool C.
In Pool D, the only pool with four teams, Army lead with three wins. They are followed by SSGC, who won two out of the three matches.
