International pediatric moot held

The prominent pediatric experts of international repute presented their research presentations about the prevention of fatal infant ailments during second day of 23rd Biennial International Pediatric Conference being held here under the auspices of Pakistan Pediatric Association on Saturday, says a press release.

Theme of conference was “Moving from Millennium to Sustainable Development Goals”. Chairman Organizing Committee Head of Pediatric Department Benazir Bhutto Hospital, Rawalpindi Professor Rai Muhammad Asghar termed conference very successful due to large attendance from all over Pakistan and abroad. Professor Tahir Masood said that conference will fulfill desired academic and social goals and participants were getting benefits of mutual experiences. 

Prof Zulfqar stressed proper upbringing of children so which is pre-requisite of sustainable development. Dr. Vinod Bhittani talked about proper Neonatal for mother and child health. Issues of child abuse and neglected children, global effort to overcome violence against children, Clinical manifestations & challenges of Lysosomal storage diseases and role of Enzyme Replacement Therapy in their management, recent advances in management of Pediatric Hepatitis came under discussion. 

About 2,000 delegates from all over Pakistan and abroad were attending the event which would interact about latest knowledge and current situation of pediatrics and would also share their experiences about treatment of kids disease.  Experts also deliberated on Pediatric Neurology, APLS – Neonatal Resuscitation, Mechanical Ventilation, Non-Invasive Ventilation, Therapeutic Hypothermia, Medical Writing, Advanced Pediatric Endoscopy. President Pakistan Pediatric Association Professor Tahir Masood and General secretary Dr. Ayesha Mehnaz also spoke on the occasion and said that efforts were made for dissemination of knowledge about treatment of kids.
