Better management of resources can bring more development: CJP
ISLAMABAD: A delegation of PN Staff Course Pakistan Navy War College Lahore headed by Rear Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi HI (M) S Bt Commandant PN War College on Monday called on Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali at the Supreme Court.
The 82-member delegation comprising faculty members and course participants hailing from different countries of the world visited Supreme Court as a part of their inland study tour.The Chief Justice welcomed the delegation and gave them an overview of the Constitution of 1973 of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and explained to them the judicial system of Pakistan, its composition, functioning and role in dispensation of justice.
He also briefed them about the Constitutional jurisdiction of the Supreme Court under Article 184, 185, 186, 187 and 188 of the Constitution. He told them that the present juridical system dates back to British period but it is still effective strong and functioning in an organized and systematic way to dispense justice to litigant parties in accordance with the law in a transparent manner without fear or favour.
Discussing the education system the Chief Justice underlined the need to bring improvements in the prevailing system through the application of Information Technology tools for the development of the country. He also said that our country is full of natural resources however better management of resources can bring more development in the country.
He also answered the questions of the participants in an interactive session and shared his experiences. The delegation presented souvenir to the Chief Justice as token of respect and gesture of goodwill.The Chief Justice also reciprocated the gesture.
