Saudi Arabia to build more schools in quake-hit areas

Saudi Arabia has announced it will build 40 more schools in Pakistan’s calamity-hit areas.
“A sufficient amount of money has been allocated for the construction of 40 more primary, middle and secondary schools besides colleges in different flood-hit parts of Pakistan.
This is part of our relief and reconstruction projects for the communities in distress,” King Abdullah’s Relief Campaign for Pakistani People Regional Director Dr Khalid M. Al-Othmani told reporters here.
The KARCPP regional director said educational institutions would be constructed at a cost of $15,000,000. He said the project would help children struggling to continue with education.
Dr Khalid said his organisation had distributed schoolbags and other essential items among 15,000 orphan children studying in flood-hit districts.
“We’ve built around 2000 houses and installed water filtration plants in Balochistan and Sindh areas. Health centre and mosques will be build there soon,” he said.
The KARCPP regional director said his organisation had planned to build 5,000 houses for the families displaced by calamities.
