Two killed, 11 injured in shootout between two groups

JARANWALA: A 22-year-old girl and a 10-year-old child were killed while 11 others injured in a shootout between two groups over a land dispute at Chak 59/GB on Sunday.
There was a dispute over two kanal land between Rana Aslam group and Muhammad Hussain Ghaffari group. On the day of the incident, 10 men belonging to Rana Aslam group allegedly attacked the house of Hussain Ghaffari and opened fire. Ghaffari group also retaliated. As a result, Tanzeela, daughter of Muhammad Hussain, and Khalil, son of Muhammad Mushtaq, of Ghaffari group were killed on the spot while 11 others were injured. Five of the injured belong to Ghaffari group and the remaining belongs to Aslam group. The injured people were shifted to a hospital. Sadr police have started investigation.
