Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan has said that relations between Pakistan and China have no match in the world and both the countries are natural allies as China has always supported Pakistan during all its testing times.

He stated this at the Governor House on Saturday when he met a delegation comprising officials and prospective investors from China belonging to sectors of energy, engineering and other sectors.

The delegation consists of business and official representatives from the Chinese capital Beijing and Chinese province Sichuan.

The governor said that China had always come to support Pakistan on diplomatic, political, and social fronts whenever the country faced any difficult situation. He said the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was the latest embodiment of the exemplary fraternal relations between the two neighbouring nations.

He was happy to note that prospective Chinese businessmen were all willing to invest in agriculture, infrastructure, wind power and other similar socio-economic and business sectors of the country.

Khan said that Chinese investors had been making investment in Pakistan on a large-scale basis as 32 billion dollars would be spent on energy projects alone, which would be built along the development of the CPEC in the country.

He said that tight security would be provided for the cause of the completion of the CPEC project and in this regard the Pakistan Army had been assigned security duties.

He said the government had launched a number of projects for overcoming the energy crisis in the country with the aim to overcome the energy shortfall by the year 2018. He added that energy projects were being initiated for ensuring surplus power in the country in a few years.
