DOPCs to solve overseas Pakistanis’ problems’

Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Commissioner Afzaal Bhatti has directed the chairpersons of District Overseas Pakistanis Committees (DOPCs) to maintain close liaison with the information department officials for wide publicity of working of these committees.  Chairing a meeting of chairpersons of DOPCs, he said it would help keep the expatriates fully informed about the availability of official mechanism in the entire districts of Punjab.

He said the Punjab government should be commended for its proactive approach towards welfare of Pakistanis living abroad as it believes Overseas Pakistanis are integral part of our society and are playing a key role in strengthening of national economy. Afzaal Bhatti said the main objective of OPC is to provide a coherent platform for solving their problems. Different complaints of Overseas Pakistanis came under discussion during the meeting and the commissioner issued certain directions for addressing their complaints.
