Islamabad lockdown plan to be foiled: CM

Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that plan to lock down Islamabad is a conspiracy to stop the journey of progress of the country and prosperity of the people. He said that all conspiracies aimed at stopping development process would be foiled.
The chief minister stated this while talking to Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Hafiz Hafeez-ur-Rehman who called on him here on Thursday.
Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister congratulated Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on his unopposed election as President Pakistan Muslim League-N Punjab. He commended the abilities of Shahbaz Sharif on completing public welfare projects in a record period and said that public service of Shahbaz Sharif was unprecedented.
He thanked Shahbaz Sharif for the Punjab government cooperation in education, health, technical training and other social sectors. He also thanked the chief minister for provision of medicines. Speaking on the occasion, Shahbaz Sharif said that people of Gilgit-Baltistan were our brothers and the Punjab government would continue its cooperation in education, health and other sectors. He said that talking about lockdown Islamabad was a conspiracy to stop the journey of progress of the country and prosperity of the people. He said that all conspiracies aimed at stopping development process and plan to lock down Islamabad would be foiled. laptops: Shahbaz Sharif has said empowering the youth by equipping them with modern knowledge is the mission of Punjab government. The CM was chairing a meeting to review the programme of provision of laptops to talented male and female students on Thursday. Addressing the meeting, the CM said lakhs of laptops have been distributed among talented students on merit at a cost of billions of rupees. Meanwhile, KP former governor and senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League-N Sardar Mehtab Khan Abbasi met the CM. Speaking on the occasion, the CM said Pakistan is all of us and we all have to work together for its progress and prosperity.
CHINESE: A delegation led by Vice Chairman China First Metallurgy Group Guo Jizhou met Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif. The Chinese group expressed interest in investment in water sector of Punjab. Talking to the delegation, the CM said CPEC has given new dimension to Pak-China friendship and China is fully supporting Pakistan’s progress and prosperity.
