UET students get laptops

Under the phase-II of the Prime Minister Laptop Scheme, laptops were distributed among the selected students of masters, MPhil and PhD programmes at University of Engineering and Technology (UET) on Thursday.
UET Pro-Chancellor and Punjab Minister for Higher Education Begum Zakia Shahnawaz was the chief guest on the occasion while Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Fazal Ahmad Khalid and faculty members were also present.
Begum Zakia Shahnawaz said the youth played a key role in nation building and added that they must be well-equipped. She said the government had launched many initiatives to empower the youth. —Correspondent
