Petition challenges selection committee for appointing assistant professors, professors
SUKKUR: Doctors Jaweed Samo, Ratan Kumar and some others filed a petition in the Sukkur circuit bench of the Sindh High Court in which they maintained that the selection committee for appointing assistant professors and professors in Khairpur Medical College had not followed rules and regulation and said that there was no nominee of the Sindh Public Service Commission, head of department of the concerned department, member of the High Court or any other notable in the committee.
They alleged that just three members out of seven members had appointed assistant professors and professors illegally and against the rules and regulations prescribed by the PMDC. They further maintained that the committee instead of holding interviews in the premises of the Khairpur Medical College had summoned candidates to the JPMC in Karachi. They requested the court to declare the selection board null and void and order for constitution of a fresh board.
