Officers told to give priority to LDA City affairs

The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) director general has the directed the authorities concerned for fast-track implementation of LDA City Housing Scheme and expediting the acquisition of land for it to provide low-cost housing to thousands of families in the provincial capital.
Chairing a meeting to review the affairs of LDA City on Wednesday, the director general directed planning for residential, commercial, recreational and other public utility zones in the scheme according to the international standards. He urged the LDA officers for assigning top priority to the affairs of the scheme.
The meeting was informed that complete data of the files of LDA City had been uploaded on LDA’s website www.lda.gop.pk for ensuring transparency and maintaining public confidence in the LDA. The data is also available on www.lda.city, the website of LDA’s development partners for the scheme. File owners can get complete information about status of their files of plots by following the instructions on the website and entering their CNIC number or the file number.
The meeting was informed that construction of an approach road, starting from Gujjumatta, Ferozepur Road, to the scheme, was now in final stages. This 2.1 kilometre long road is 180 feet wide and the project is being executed at a cost of Rs.1.13 billion. The scheme has also been provided with a link from Katcha Flyover, the first ever flyover constructed in Punjab on Public-Private Partnership basis, on Katcha Railway Crossing.
