Data provided by PTI to news channels proves to be fake

Vote transfer from NA-122...PTI insists thousands of votes transferred; vows to share evidence

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in its rush to level maximum rigging allegations finally faces criminal and fraud charges as the NA-122 vote transfer data provided by it to some news channels for propaganda proved tampered and fake when it was compared with the official data.
Despite continuously claiming that it lost the latest by-elections held on October 11, 2015 because many votes of its voters registered in the NA-122 were transferred to other constituencies just before the polling-day, the PTI avoided providing any details of such voters to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) or the independent media.
According to officials investigating the latest rigging charges, the PTI opted to continue propaganda using only some elements in the media in order to mislead and defraud its workers and public at large and gave them some names, addresses of people whose votes were “transferred” from the NA-122. Top officials confirmed to The News by showing in the system and providing relevant record and documents that all the eight names and CNIC numbers of NA-122 provided by the PTI to two media outlets and which were subsequently aired on the said news channels were a fraud and clearly a criminal act of defrauding and fooling the public at large.
The PTI spokesman, Naeemul Haq, was repeatedly contacted and messages were sent to him to clarify the position of his party about internal inquiries being conducted by the ECP and other institutions regarding the PTI allegations of transfer of votes from NA-122, provision of CNIC numbers of voters to news channels and findings of these inquiries but he opted not to respond though his cell phone was on and responding to other calls.
Top PTI leader and party chief organiser in Punjabtold media that he has unavoidable evidences of transfer of votes from NA-122 and will present all those evidences before the all parties conference (APC) and subsequently before chief election commissioner (CEC). He said that after receiving dozens of complains his team worked for one full week and has successfully retrieved strong proofs that thousands of votes were transferred from NA-122 and which are greater in number than the difference of votes between winning candidate Ayaz Sadiq and losing candidate Aleem Khan. He said that it was a massive scam and the ECP and Nadra were used to carry out this exercise. Chaudhry Sarwar added that he trusts Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and is hopeful that Nisar will be shocked after seeing these proofs of transfer of votes. He said that these facts and evidences were not brought into the knowledge of Chaudhry Nisar earlier.
Though experts were wondering as to how the ECP or any party or institution could find out about ‘future voting decision’ of such a big number of voters as being claimed by the PTI and could transfer all such votes to other constituencies but now when only eight such names and CNIC numbers have come to light and aired on national news channels, it found out to be an outright fraud when checked from official data, electoral data, computerised voting lists and Nadra record. The ECP officials were however not clear whether criminal proceedings will be initiated against the PTI and its leadership or not or who will initiate such proceedings and when. On the other hand, like its past practice of continuing levelling allegations without any verification just to question credibility of elections in order to avoid severe embarrassment after its tall claims, the PTI is set to hold some APC on the issue of transfer of votes in NA-122 just before the polling day.
According to official record and ECP project of computerised electoral rolls which is handled by Nadra, following are details of fake data provided by the PTI along with some person who appeared on news channels and claimed to hold given/shown CNIC numbers;
Case-1: CNIC number 35202-3339244-3 (Mirza Rashid Barlas s/o Mirza Muhammad Amin Baig Barlas) was registered in NA-128 (Lahore, Block Code-185060102) at the time of 2013 general elections and even in final electoral rolls finalised for local bodies elections his vote is still present in NA-128. Holder of this CNIC number never applied for any transfer of vote in the given time and never remained a voter of NA-122. So his details provided by the PTI were tempered and it’s a case of an outright fraud. Interestingly, the holder of this CNIC checked his vote details from ECP SMS Service “8300” thrice in 2013 and never applied for any transfer of vote. He used ECP SMS Service “8300” on April 27, 2013 at 22:09 hrs, on May 4, 2013 at 18:05 hrs and May 23, 2013 at 16:18 hrs. The voter checked his vote thrice and was always informed by ECP that his vote was registered in NA-128.
Case-2: CNIC number 35202-0935670-6 (Kausar Parveen w/o Imtiaz Hussain) was registered in NA-129 (Lahore, Block Code-186080515) at the time of 2013 general elections and it still falls in the same place in latest electoral rolls prepared for the local bodies elections. The holder of this CNIC never checked her vote from ECP SMS service “8300”. The PTI also defrauded media in this case. As she was never a voter in NA-122 so no question arises of transfer of her vote from NA-122.
Case-3: CNIC number 35202-9942220-0 (Khursheed Bibi w/o Ghulam Sarwar) was registered in NA-128 (Lahore, Block Code-185010127) at the time of 2013 general elections and it still falls in the same place in latest electoral rolls prepared for the local bodies elections. The holder of this CNIC never checked her vote from ECP SMS service “8300”. The PTI defrauded media even in this case. As she was never a voter in NA-122 so no question arises of transfer of her vote from NA-122.
Case-4: CNIC number 35202-3810367-3 (Shaukat Ali s/o Abdul Aziz) was registered in NA-128 (Lahore, Block Code-185020503) at the time of 2013 general elections and it still falls in the same place in latest electoral rolls. The holder of this CNIC checked his vote using ECP SMS Service “8300” twice on July 29, 2015 at 19:49 hrs and on July 29, 2015 at 20:13 hrs. At both the occasions the voter was informed by the ECP through SMS that his vote was registered in NA-128. The PTI defrauded and befooled people at large in this case. As he was never a voter in NA-122 so no question arises of transfer of his vote from NA-122.
Case-5: CNIC number 35202-0801941-8 (Khalida Bibi w/o Shaukat Ali) was registered in NA-128 (Lahore, Block Code-185020503) at the time of 2013 general elections. However, later she applied for change of her vote from NA-128 to NA-121 (Lahore, Block No-185611004) and now in the electoral voting lists prepared for local bodies elections her vote is registered in NA-121. The holder of this CNIC checked her vote six times in one day on July 29, 2015 (at 19:41 hrs, 19:43 hrs, 19:45 hrs, 19:46 hrs, 2013 hrs and 20:42 hrs) and at all times she was informed that her vote was registered in NA-121. He was never a voter in NA-122 so no question arises of transfer of her vote from NA-122. The PTI tempered and faked documents and facts to mislead two selected media outlets.
Case-6: CNIC number 35202-2585806-5 (Hamza Ikram s/o Muhammad Inam) was registered in NA-121 (Lahore, Block Code-185530103) and Gharana No-255 during 2013 general elections. His status is same in latest rolls prepared for local bodies elections. He never applied for transfer of vote in the given time and was never a voter of NA-122 so no question arises of his vote being transferred from NA-122.
Case-7: CNIC number 35202-0711461-9 (Makil Amir Saeed S/O Malik Muhammad Ikraam) was registered in NA-121 (Lahore, Block Code-185530103) and Gharana No-255 during 2013 general elections. (Rest of details are same as in case-6)
Case-8: CNIC number 35202-2880225-4 (Munazza Amir w/o Malik Amir Saeed) was registered in NA-121 (Lahore, Block Code- 185530103) and Gharana No-255 during 2013 general elections. (Rest of details are same as in case-6 and Case-7). The PTI misled the media, its workers and people at large in these last three cases using a different news channel. All the first five cases were aired in an ‘investigative & exclusive’ programme on a news channel. The PTI leaders continued to appear on all news channels to allege that many NA-122 votes were transferred before polling day and subsequently these details were provided which all proved tempered with to mislead people.
It is important to mention that as of today the PTI could not present name and CNIC number of any voter who was registered in NA-122 and his vote was transferred from NA-122 without his consent before or after August 26, 2015, a date after which the ECP stopped entertaining applications for transfer of votes because of announcement of elections schedule. Different institutions including the ECP are thoroughly probing all developments that took place before October 11, 2015 by-elections with regard to NA-122 and especially in view of PTI and allegations of “transfer of votes from NA-122” and top sources have confirmed to The News that a massive national level scam is establishing. These sources insist that some forces who were involved in this scam have realisation that things are being probed and facts will be presented before people so most of the latest allegations and onslaught is basically a preemptive strategy of such elements. Officials say that this strategy is bound to fail ultimately as whole truth will presented before the nation along with all documentary evidences.
The PTI also made similar allegations against Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal (PBM) which all proved wrong and PBM has all record available for public scrutiny which shows allegations as ridiculous. Senior officials believe that under a well-defined strategy doubts are intentionally being raised against different institutions including Nadra and ECP roles as a preemptive move to counter expected embarrassment. Under the laid down procedure, there is no role of NADRA in approving any change whatsoever in the voters lists. All changes are approved by the election commission. According to the ECP officials, at present there is no case pending with Nadra for transfer of any NA-122 votes. However, the ECP do not process or forward to Nadra any requests of transfer of votes in a specific constituency after announcement of elections schedule in that constituency.
