The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi's Controller Examinations Muhammad Imran Khan Chishti on Monday claimed that the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) was harassing teachers due to which they have withdrawn from assessing examination copies.

According to him, the results of Class-XI would get delayed if this exercise was not stopped immediately.

“The ACE has already delayed results of a number of students of pre-medical students and they have also been disturbing teachers.”

He assured that he would talk to the teacher community to revise their decisions and restart checking copies so that results could be announced in time.

Financial support

Renowned poet, educationist and former vice chancellor of the University of Karachi, Professor Dr Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui, has advised the BIEK officials to seek financial support from the private sector to help deserving students obtain a valuable educational experience and secure promising careers.

“We have to adopt revolutionary steps in education sector to transform the   Pakistani culture into a knowledge-based society so that we could be recognised at international level.”

Professor Siddiqui mentioned that the provincial governor was an education-loving person and everyone should play its role in the progress and development of our country.

He urged students to bring confidence in their lives so that the quality of their work could be improved.

Special candidates jobs

BIEK Chairman Mohammad Akhtar Ghori announced jobs at the BIEK for the top position holder students of the special candidates group.

He mentioned that from conducting exams to giving results, 95 percent work had been done by the senior teachers while the board’s role was only five percent in this regard.
