ISLAMABAD: Burying their political differences in the face of jingoistic designs of India, the entire political leadership on Sunday sent a strong message to the neigbouring country that the people of Pakistan and their armed forces will jealously defend every inch of the motherland in case of aggression.

Federal Minister for Information Senator Pervaiz Rashid said atrocities in the Indian Held Kashmir (IHK) would isolate India internationally.Talking to the media after attending the All Pakistan Music Conference at Alhamra, Lahore, he said the oppressors stood isolated in the world.

“India will have to stop oppression if it has to avert international isolation. How could India talk about isolation of Pakistan?”The minister said New Delhi should learn a lesson of peace from Europe and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean).

He said New Delhi would remain restless if unrest persisted in Srinagar.Pervaiz Rashid said the Modi government should stop dreaming about unrest in Balochistan because there was not a single supporting voice for India there.

“Pakistan Zindabad slogans are being raised in Balochistan and country’s biggest flag was waved there on August 14,” he added.Pervaiz said the CPEC project would not only benefit both countries but also the entire world.

“Thus the Indian opposition to the project means opposition to the whole world,” he added. He said Russia and China were big military and economic powers of the region and Pakistan wanted better relations with both to restore peace in the region.

Commenting on threats to the Pakistani artists in India, he said good melodious voices and songs would bring peace otherwise voices of mourning would be the fate of the region.

Talking to a TV channel, the minister said India was threatening war against Pakistan but in reality it could not afford it. He said India was trying to mislead the world by creating war hysteria.

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Sunday bashed Indian PM Narendra Modi and said the butcher of Gujrat had become the butcher of Kashmir.Giving response to the Indian government, Bilawal Bhutto said the one who was responsible for the killing of innocent Kashmiris was giving lectures to Pakistan on terrorism.

“The butcher of Gujarat has become the butcher of Kashmir and wants to lecture us on terrorism; the world must work together to stop this tyrant.”

The PPP chief also urged the international community to work together to stop this autocrat.PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Sunday sent a categorical message that political differences apart, the whole nation was united for the defence of the country.

Talking to the media at a Karachi hotel, Imran said on the one hand the Indian prime minister was offering to jointly fight poverty and unemployment but, on the other hand, he was threatening to isolate Pakistan in the international community.

He said peace in the Subcontinent and restoration of trade relations were the best options for overcoming poverty. He said India had accused Pakistan of the Uri attack without investigation. He said contradictory statements were emanating from India because the people of Kashmir had decided that they would not remain under the Indian rule.

He said a few Kashmiri supporters of India were now openly opposing the atrocities being committed against their brethren to suppress their demand for right to self-determination.Imran said instead of attending the demands of Kashmiris, India had started a negative propaganda against Pakistan to divert the international attention from the burning Kashmir issue.

He said the whole country was on one page as far as its unity and sovereignty was concerned and his differences with Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif were only on corruption.Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Amir Senator Sirajul Haq said the Pakistani nation and their armed forces were on the same page against India and in case of aggression, they will give a befitting response to the enemy, which will end up in the emergence of several new Pakistans in India.

Siraj expressed these views while addressing a news conference at Mansoora, Lahore, at the conclusion of the JI Shoora meeting on Sunday. The JI chief was flanked by the central leaders of the party.

Siraj said the JI Shoora had reviewed the IHK situation following the martyrdom of Burhan Muzaffar Wani.He said the Pakistani nation paid rich tributes to Kashmiris for their sacrifices and stood with them in their struggle for liberation.

The Shoora resolved to defend the homeland till their last breath and the last drop of blood. The JI chief said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had presented the Kashmir issue in the UN in accordance with the sentiments of the nation. He noted that the US President Obama had not mentioned the IHK issue in his address to the UN General Assembly, which reflected the weakness of Pakistani diplomacy.

He said it seemed the government had not made preparations on this score at the international and diplomatic fronts.Siraj said he had been expecting that the premier in his UN address would take up the issue of Modi’s meddling in Balochistan and Baltistan and the execution of JI leaders in Bangladesh in violation of the 1974 agreement between Pakistan, India and Bangladesh. However, this was not done, he added.

Shahzain Bugti, cousin of Geneva-based Brahamdagh Bugti who has sought asylum in India, on Sunday said the Bugti tribe would fight against the Indian troops along with the Pakistan Army in the event of a war with India.

Addressing the annual convention of Jamhoori Watan Party, he said: “Brahamdagh can stay in India or Geneva; that is his personal decision. But as far as I or the party is concerned, we will always follow the dictates of Nawab Akbar Bugti.

“My grandfather had opted for Pakistan at the time of Partition and his party would remain loyal to this ideology. Nawab Akbar Bugti was always with Pakistan and in the past also our tribesmen fought for Pakistan. Nothing has changed. Our ideology is the same. Even today if India goes to war with Pakistan, we will defend the Pakistani borders,” he said.
