ISLAMABAD: The Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) has planned to consult stakeholders before finalising a formula to determine private school fee and parameters for quality of education in Islamabad.
“The CADD is holding a day-long consultative workshop on ‘Fee determination and Quality of Education Parameters’ on October 20.
“The purpose of the workshop is to consolidate the public opinion and more specifically the parents so that CADD can develop comprehensive parameters for quality of education and fee determination in the ICT,” Minister of State for CADD Barrister Usman Ibrahim told the president of the Association of Parents of Private School Children Aliya Aga here in his office.
The agenda of the meeting was to discuss implementation status of notification of 23 September 2015 issued on the directions of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif directing private educational institutions not to increase any fee in 2015.
The minister informed the visitors that on the directions of the prime minister a “Special Cell” had been constituted at the Private Education Instutions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA) to ensure compliance of instructions of the prime minister in letter and spirit. In this regard, on daily basis, private educational institutions functioning within the territorial jurisdiction of ICT are submitting in writing compliance to PEIRA that they are not increasing any fee/charges/funds during 2015.
Aliya Agha appreciated the endeavours of Minister of State CADD, Barrister Usman Ibrahim, for striving hard to address the genuine concerns of parents and implementation of the notification of 23rd September, 2015.
