BARA: The elders from Khyber Agency held a jirga on Saturday announced to support security forces if India attacked Pakistan.
The pledge was made at a jirga in Peshawar.
Malik Waris Khan Afridi, Malik Zahir Shah Afridi, Malik Darya Khan, Malik Daud Khan, Malik Salahuddin Kukikhel, Pir Abdullah Shah, Malik Daud Afridi and other tribesmen attended the jirga, which was held at Bagh-e-Naran, Hayatabad.
The speakers said people of Khyber Agency had fought against the Indians in the 1965 war and thousands of Indian soldiers were killed in Kashmir and other areas.
“We are soldiers without uniforms, fight against the enemy and render sacrifices for stability of Pakistan,” said one of the elders.
