Mohmand Agency elders asked to be vigilant
GHALLANAI: The officials of the political administration and security forces Friday asked the tribespeople of Mohmand Agency to stay vigilant and cooperate with the authorities in their respective areas.
Addressing a joint jirga at Bhai Dag area near the Pak-Afghan border, Assistant Political Agent Pir Abdullah Shah urged the tribal elders of Khwezai and Baizai tribes to keep a close eye on suspected elements and strangers in their villages. He also asked the tribal elders to cooperate with the security forces in their areas.
Among others, the jirga was also attended by 201 Wing Commander Lieutenant Colonel Imtiaz Khan, 204 Wing Commander Lt Col Faisal AzharRana of Mohmand Rifles, and tribal elders including Malik Sultan, Malik Gul Muhammad, Malik Ahmad, Malik FazalKhaliq and Malik ZiaratGul.
The tribal elders assured the authorities of their undeterred support to the security forces in restoring peace and establishing writ of the government. The participants of the jirga also offered fateha for the victims of Anbar suicide bombing. They prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
